Team USA Hopeful - Sophie Gutermuth

About Me:
My name is Sophie Gutermuth and I am raising support to continue my pole vault career as a post-collegiate athlete. At Indiana University, I was an All-American, Big Ten Medalist, and School Record Holder (former).
After missing the mark for the 2016 Olympic Trials by a slim margin, I recommited myself to my Olympic dream. I relocated to Knoxville, TN. at the end of 2016, where I lived for just under a under a year, and there I got the opportunity to train with Coach Tim Mack, 2004 U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist in the Pole Vault, and his team. Currently I live in Bloomington, Indiana, where I am training with the guidance of Dave Volz, a 1992 pole vault olympian.
My Goals:
My short-term goal is to qualify for the 2018 USA National Championships this summer and my long-term goal is to qualify for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
How You Can Help:
1) You can donate to this fund to support the costs associated with training. These include equipment costs (poles), competition entry fees, and travel costs.
Poles: $300-$500 per pole (Different pole sizes are crucial to being successful when competing in different conditions and under certain circumstances.)
Travel: Varies (gas, flights, hotels)
2) You can also share on social media!
If you do not feel comfortable donating here, please send me an email: [email redacted]
