Family of Matt Gerald Fallen Hero

On the morning of July 17th Matthew Gerald became our fallen hero. his life was taken protecting us in the line of duty. He did not leave us without a fight. He was one of the first responders to the call that took the life of 3 officers.. Matt was truly an American hero he served our country for 3 tours in Iraq, as well as served as a Marine for 4 years . He later was a Black Hawk Crew Cheif who flew over 1000 combat hours.
He leaves behind a beautiful wife, and 2 girls. His oldest will celebrate her birthday next week without her stepdad and the youngest is still waiting for him to come home. This fund was set up to support and help my sister Dechia and the girls to carry on without Matt. Dechia is forced into a being a single mom with one teacher income going forward.
