I can't believe it's come down to this. After losing everything in a divorce that made no sense on any level, then shortly after that being diagnosed with MS, I believed and prayed my life would get back on track.
I don’t think I would have ever believed I would be homeless at 63. Don’t get me wrong, I have a roof over my head thank God, but with the exception of a few short months, since my divorce in 2009 I have not been able to live on my own. I have had to depend on the kindness of others to provide housing as I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 1.5 years after my divorce and have been unable to work in any capacity to be able to provide for myself.
As I listened to Donald Trump’s speech last night I realized how everything that went wrong during my divorce is just another part of the breakdown in our judicial system. Our “rigged” courts and Judges, Judges whose elections are funded by many of the attorney’s they actually deal with in court! Who do you think they will side with, an attorney who gave thousands to their election or one who didn’t? No brainer here! My ex actually FORGED my name on an equity check, without any consequence and the funds were never brought into the divorce!
PAIN, chronic bladder infections and bronchitis keep me running to the doctor regularly. For seven years now, I keep thinking something will change and I will be able to get back on my feet. I now realize that's just not going to happen without help.
All of this is humiliating, depressing, and just makes me question why God would even keep me here. I feel like nothing but a burden to everyone I love and care for.
A good friend who knows all the details of my situation, recently suggested that I set up a Go Fund Me page. I really don't like doing this, but I don't know what else I can do.I know how tough it is for so many right now. All I can tell you is anything you can do will help.
I am looking for a basement apartment, an in-law suite, live-in nanny position (2 children max b/c of MS) work from home. If you know of anything please message me on my Facebook page.
