Gianna DeVeitro's Leukemia Fight
Donation protected
This account was started by me for the daughter of my good friend who was diagnosed with Acute Luekemia on Monday July 18th. While she is in the initial stages of diagnosis and there are many unknowns, we do know that she has a long road ahead of her. As long as I have known Gianna she has been hard working and determined and I'm sure this fight will be no different. She has always been involved in many activities. In high school she played basketball and was a cheerleader. She went on to attend Rutgers University where she maintained two jobs throughout her four years and managed the women's D1 basketball team. She recently graduated May 15 2016 with a BA in journalism. Ironically, Gianna completed an internship at Mt. Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital, known for cancer and transplantation, where she helped child patients adjust to their long term hospital stays. The funds gained from this account would be helpful to Gianna and her family in many ways. Gianna's mom, Tina, is a single mother of two children. She recently started a new job and it is uncertain if she will be able to keep this job. As a mother it would seem impossible to not be at my daughter's side to support her through her many procedures and soon to start chemotherapy. In the meantime, bills add up. Gianna does have insurance but we all know the limitations of health insurance. These funds could also be useful in unforeseeable additional medical expenses. Lastly, as a recent college grad, Gianna does not yet have a job. We do not know when she will be able to work and the student loan payments will kick in. I'm sure there isn't a single person who has not been affected by cancer. Please donate. No amount is too big or too small. Thank you for taking the time to read. Please share with as many people as you can.
