First do no harm.
Following a week of extensive continuing education courses at the 2016 AutismOne conference, Dr. Daniel Kalb posted on his blog and Facebook page that he would no longer administer vaccines from his office. His opinion that in some cases vaccines may be linked to Autism and other neuroimmune problems, created tremendous opposition from many people, including physicians, who promised to report Dr. Kalb to the TN Board of Medical Examiners to have his license suspended. Less than 72 hours later, the Board initiated their investigation and currently shows no signs of stopping. They are not only questioning Dr. Kalb about his statement regarding vaccines and autism, but they are investigating his treatments of patients with other immune dysfunction disorders including PANDAS/PANS, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and Lyme Disease.
The Board has taken issue with how Dr. Kalb includes researched based strategies for the natural removal of toxins such as heavy metals, his discussion with patients about Helminth therapy, and the use of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. The Board is also investigating Dr. Kalb’s discussion with his patients of CBD oil derived from the Hemp plant (without THC), for use in Autism and seizures, and in other patients for which there is proven benefit, such as those with self-injurious behavior, patients with Chronic Pain, immune dysfunction, headaches and neuroinflammation.
Why does Dr. Kalb need our help?
Dr. Kalb is facing huge legal costs, and this is a fight for all of us. This is a fight for families who want to combine natural and traditional therapies. This is a fight for those that understand that there is a relationship between the environment, toxicity and the development of immune problems in themselves and their children. This is a fight for safe and proven strategies to address the havoc that families suffer from.
Does this affect me?
This investigation affects every parent who chooses to alter the traditional vaccine schedule, and it affects every family dealing with the epidemic of immune dysfunction disorders. Shutting him down will decrease the quality of medical care for many families and discourage other physicians from providing patient centered care. Dr. Kalb is a light to many patients who have benefited tremendously under his care. It is pivotal that we support Dr. Kalb at this time of need.
