Rankin Centre Rink Fund
Donation protected
The Rankin Culture and Recreation Centre is a not-for-profit organization that is owned by the community. It does not receive governmental funding of any kind to operate. Our income comes from rentals, donations, and fundraisers. The RCRC does not employ anyone; we are a community of volunteers.
Two years ago we had to make the decision to tear down our rink area because it was no longer safe. This project will cost an estimated $200, 000.00. So far, we have already spent close to $100,000.00 on preparing the surface and pouring the concrete. We still need to buy rink boards and put everything together. We secured a loan to make this project happen, but now we need to pay it off.
In the last couple of years we have raised close to $60,000 through fundraisers and donations from the generosity of people such as yourself. We will be pleased to recognize this generosity on our donor wall. We are over a quarter of the way there, but we still need your help!
The rink is a place where families have gathered over the years and we would like it to be there for future generations. When our project is complete be sure to stop around for a skate and bring your friends and family.
This would mean everything to the members of our centre and to those who use our facility. Please give generously.
