Help Me Keep My Home and Get a Car

Everybody calls me Tucker, and like millions of Americans, I live paycheck to paycheck.  Even worse, I recently had to take a pay cut at work.  This has put me in a severe bind.  I have been struggling to pay my rent for a while now, and with this pay cut I have no hope of doing so.  Additionally, I have to come up with the back rent I owe my landlord (who's a great guy and has been patient with me far longer than I deserve) or I will be evicted in September.

I can't ask my family for help, as they're presently helping my mother with her medical bills after her recent hospitalization.  And since I don't have a car, it is difficult for me to get around and find another job in a city with limited mass transit.  (Presently, I spend 4 hours a day riding a bus to and from work.  And if I miss my bus in the morning, I don't get to go to work.)

So, I'm turning to the internet for help.  Any money you contribute will go to paying my back rent, and getting some kind of used car.

I do not like to ask people for money, but I have no choice.  If you contribute the money you will be helping me and my cats keep our home that I've lived in for nearly 20 years.  I can't tell you how much it would mean for me to be able to continue to stay here.  I don't relish the idea of becoming homeless or having to move in with a family member, and I certainly won't be able to find any place cheaper to live.
