Souled Outside
When a big money developer decided to purchase my apartment in a downtown Memphis arts district, residents were kicked to the curb. We can come back, they said, but only after a 6-8 week renovation process and a 20-25% increase in rent.
Now, I find myself traveling the country, working from the road—mostly alone—and biding my time until I can finally come home to the streets and neighborhood that I love. In the process, I hope to discover new places of the spirit and soul in this country. Lemons to lemonade, right?
Amazingly, a few of you have asked how to relay small donations to me on this journey, and I really don't know how to repay that other than to say thank you, and to also give out free Souled Outside stickers for contributions larger than 25 cents.
The route covers some 5,000 miles of highway, backcountry and trails. And for most of it, I'm camping out of my car, which means I'm going to burn through a lot of fuel.
$25 gets me about 300 miles down the road.
Your donations will go to fuel, data and maybe some gear.
Thank you all so much for your support and kindness on this bizarre journey.
