Ty Nant Cat Sanctuary

Donation protected
UPDATE - On behalf of myself, Teresa Ahmad, and all the volunteers at Ty-Nant Cat Sanctuary, we take this opportunity to wish a collective Thank You for all of your donations.
We are truly astounded at the amount that has been raised so far and so quickly. We take this as a testament to the amount of animal lovers around the world who have been as outraged and appalled as we are at the needless deaths and abuse of our beloved cats.
The donations will ensure that we can improve our sanctuary with a security system as well as restore the damaged caused to the building. We will also be able to provide greater facilities and higher standard of living for the cats that are with us now and our future residents. Your continued donations will ensure that we can provide our cats with the sanctuary they deserve.
In due course we will be arranging an Open Day and extend a warm invitation to all of you to attend so you can meet the team and the cats as well as be able to see the fruits of your kind donations. For those of you further afield we will be providing a full breakdown of all costs where the donations have been implemented.
We are still utterly shocked at the incident. We will, however, continue to grow stronger and continue to provide a haven for cats and kittens in need. We now have a way forwards that has been lit up by your collective response and support. We leave you with this touching and fitting quote for now:
"Friends are like stars; You don't always see them, but you know that they are there".
Thank You to you all, sincerely from Ty-Nant Cat Sanctuary and an extra special "meow" from the cats!

We are deeply saddened to inform you all that last night the sanctuary has been the victim of a terrible attack. A 18 and 15 year old has been caught unclear if more involved. Our room that we have our older cats reside in has been broken into and most of the cats that we had there are now missing/stolen. One cat was found killed in the lane, and only one other has been found and returned.

All our hard work and love that we have shown these cats has been devasted by this malicious attack. Teresa, Nicky and the rest of the team are heart broken by this.

We would ask for any information from the public and our friends who follow and support us, to contact us or the police. Please share this post with friends and family. We hope all our fellow cat lovers with help us with this.

About us -

Established in June 1990, Ty Nant Cat Sanctuary is a small, independent, not-for-profit organisation based in Cymmer, Port Talbot. We were established in response to the problem of unwanted, stray and abandoned cats within the area. Since then hundreds of cats & kittens have passed through our care. Most have been successfully re-homed but others due to their temperament or illness have stayed at Ty-Nant.

Our main aim is to rescue unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens, domestic and feral, and where possible find them suitable forever homes
