Dixie Stinson

My family went to Mexico on vacation this past week. My Grandmother Dixie Stinson was walking and said she was hot and needed to sit down and rest. Her arm started tingling and she suffered a severe heart attack. Her first surgery was performed.  She had a 99% blockage in her right artery and they did surgery on that and had a stint placed. She had a 95% blockage in her circumflex artery. The hospital refused a second heart surgery in Mexico without the collection of $30,000 more after $30,000 was was already paid. Thankfully, they finally allowed a family member to sign a paper and went into surgery before the second $30,000 payment arrived. My family has drained their accounts and maxed their credits cards. The balance as of now is $20,000 and will add up daily. While I was on the phone with my mother recieving the news, she witnessed a woman get arrested for not being able to pay her son's medical bill. She also stated that my Grandma has not been able to have visitors and that it feels as if they are holding her hostage.

We are thanking the good Lord above that her second surgery was successful! She is no longer intubated and is on her way to being moved from ICU.

SHE WILL NOT BE RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL UNTIL HER BILL IS PAID IN FULL. 

I feel like this is a nightmare. I have literally never felt so helpless. I am a lover, a fighter, a fixer and I can't even be with my family to share my emotions let alone do something productive there to help. My heart is literally breaking.

The one thing I CAN do from home besides pray is to start a GoFundMe account in effort to raise the money needed to pay for her medical bill so they can all return home when all is said and done.
