My name is Holls, I'm 34, disabled, and a married mother of two sons. I live in the country outside of Peterborough, Ontario, and my husband works in town.
Recently, our Jeep, our only vehicle, has been acting up when my husband applies the brakes. What started as a little shudder has gotten quite bad and is compromising our brakes. The Jeep has gotten to the point where we're reluctant to drive it, which is a huge problem as, living in the country with no bus service, my husband needs it to get to work, the grocery store, doctors appointments, etc.
The money is going into fixing the main problem with the Jeep, which is the brakes, as well as an electrical issue we've been having for a few months that prevents us from driving at night. We'd like the Jeep to be completely safe come winter so we don't have to worry about taking it out on the road. The sooner we can get the money, the sooner the problems can be fixed and we can be safely back on the road.
This would mean so much to me and my family as we're completely stuck without our Jeep and we have no other way to raise the money. My husband's hours were reduced at work so we're already tight as it is. We need this so he can continue to work and so I can get to the doctors appointments I need for my health. We would be so thankful if we could get back on the road safely with no worry. It would mean so much to our entire family, all we want is to be safe.
