Missions Trip to Puerto Rico
Hello, my name is Cortney and I'm a 20 year old college student at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm currently working towards obtaining my degree in Psychology with the intent of continuing my passion for spreading the love of Jesus through helping others, learning other languages, understanding different cultures, and opening my mind to the world around me. I first obtained this passion in 2013 when I went on my first missions trip to Tijuana, Mexico. Here, my group and I spread the love and grace of Jesus through serving in soup kitchens, singing and playing along in various orphanages, praying and sharing testimonies in aids hospices, and witnessing to those that lived in the squadder camps. I fell in love with the idea of sharing Jesus with these people so much that I ended up returning to Tijuana again in 2015 and 2016.
In March 2017 I have the amazing opportunity to continue this passion of mine through my school. Myself and 12 other students from Grand Canyon University will be traveling to Puerto Rico where we will be working alongside 5 local missionaries doing various acts to witness to the locals. The missionaries do works through an organization called Grace Ministries International who will be helping us do things such as radio ministry, AWANA, after-school ministries, and at-home Bible studies.
We will be working with youth camps and retreats from March18-25. Because of this week long trip, the expenses can be quite pricey. However, with the help of my family and friends, I will be able to continue to my passion for spreading Jesus' love to those around the world. The rough estimate of $2000 includes airfare, food, and housing for the whole trip. Any donation will be graciously accepted and appreciated. Thank you!
