Joe's Unexpected Medical Crisis

I am Lori, I am Joes fiancé. Joe is 55 yrs old. We've known each other since childhood & found each other again. Joe is brilliant, he can talk about any subject. He loves animals, his family & he loves me. NASCAR & football are his passions Jeff Gordon and NY Giants. Loves the Beatles!! He's witty, funny & stubborn. I took him to the ER for leg spasms, he has nerve issues & also a couple of failed back surgeries. He was admitted & shortly after that his kidneys failed. He then became unresponsive. Admitted to ICU. Today is a week, no response. The kidneys have affected his thoughts & functioning. If stabilized they can give him dialysis. Take him off the machine & tubes. Our life was normal last week. Joe is on disability & I work full time. I took an unpaid leave of absence so I can be with him, & I'm here everyday hoping for a response. I'm trying to keep our life/home priorities in tact. Just need to keep our heads above water and defer bills. When he wakes I don't want that to stress him, it's a slow process getting the brain back according to the neurologist. I just want to focus on Joe. Thank you all for reading this and your support.
