Koonibba Football Club Oval Fund
Donation protected
My name is Shelley Ware and some of you may know me from the Marngrook Football Show on NITV where I am lucky enough to talk footy every week.
The Koonibba Football club is the oldest surviving Aboriginal Football Club in Australia and it needs to install a sub soil irrigation system to keep the oval green all year round and lights on the oval too. During footy season training starts at 5pm and goes till dark - often 6pm. Not long enough to develop and promote a healthy life style.
The cost of the system is just over $150,000 and the lights $50,000. The SA government has grants that can match funds raised dollar for dollar so we are asking for $100,000 to help make a difference in this community of mine, so please help if you can.
The water system will reduce costs by 2/3rd allowing them to use recycled water all year round at $0.25c per kilolitre instead of the mains water they currently pay $3.29c per KL. Costing $30,000 for 6 months as the club can't afford to keep the grass green for the other six months.
These boys dont get paid to play they play for the love of their club. They also want to provide, ALF 9's, Soccer, Cricket and so much more. But most importantly foster a good positive relationship for the community as we all know sports creates harmony and makes a difference in people's lives.
I hope you can help...I have written a blog with more information on my website www.shelleyware.com.au so please have a look.
Message me as I am happy to talk to you about how we can work together to make a difference in my community.
Thank you dearly if you have donated you will forever be making a difference.
