Pandy's Animal Sanctuary-2016 Flood
Donation protected
My name is Pam Leavy. I own/run Pandy's Animal Sanctuary in Baton Rouge, La. My husband, Andy, and I worked tirelessly for 3 years, after Katrina devastated New Orleans, to save animals in the 9th ward.
We saw the devastation first hand. This inspired us to turn our rural property into a sanctuary for the animals that were rescued then and those that we continue to rescue. After Andy's death nearly 7 years ago, I continued rescue work on my own.
I am now living the same devastation we experienced in 2005, after the recent flooding left 5 feet of water in my house, and 8 feet of water in the catio and cat areas.. Inow find myself working tirelessly to once again find and save animals, except this time my own. I have lost nearly all of my cat supplies, including 1,500 pounds of food, 50 buckets of litter, litter boxes, food dishes kennels, carriers, toys, bedding, hammocks, medicine, everything. I'm also missing 4 of the 60 resident cats, even though I provided safe places for them. However, since the water has just receded back to the bayou, I'm hoping they will all return.
We need immediate help replacing all supplies. Please consider helping the lost and abandoned animals that now call Pandy's home. Donate here or to CAAWS in my name.
