Classroom Supplies for Ms. Shelton

Hi! My name is Kayla Shelton and this will be my first year teaching. I will be teaching third grade in the Richmond City Public School system! I have recently graduated from Longwood University, so I am fired up to begin my first year as a teacher!

Nearly 100% of my students will be living in a high poverty, urban area and their families will be unable to provide them with basic school supplies. In a perfect world, all supplies will be provided, but that is not the case. In order to increase my students' chances for success, I will be purchasing all of the supplies for my classroom this year.

Personally, I am fresh out of graduate school with student loans a mile high and a two-year-old of my own, so I am asking for help! I am in need of any and all school supplies including crayons, markers, composition notebooks, pencils, looseleaf paper, binders, storage containers, anything! If you are in a place where you are willing and able to help, know that my students and I both will be extremely appreciative! These children are so eager to learn, and simple school supplies will help make that learning a reality. We all thank you!
