Lake Diversion Occupants Fund
Donation protected
Former St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke purchased the vast Waggoner Ranch in Texas, which houses over 135 homes near Lake Diversion. After the sale, residents were notified that business would continue as usual and nothing would change. However, this summer residents were notified that they would need to evacuate their homes as Kroenke is ending all leases and is displacing all long-term residents.
Many of these residents are retired, some are veterans, and many have nowhere else to go. This fund is organized by 101 ESPN in St. Louis and all funds raised will go to help the permanent residents who are being forced out as they search for a new home.
The funds have been collected, and a check will be made out to each of the 13 permanent residents that were forced out of their homes. The total funds received will be evenly dispersed among those residents to help them cover moving costs.
