Baldwyn High School Mascot
For those who don't know me or remember me, my name is Mallory Hill Moore and I now teach in my home town, Baldwyn, MS. If any knows anything about having a little school spirit, we know it usually includes a mascot cheering or acting a fool at all the athletic events.
Unfortunately, the mascot costume I use to wear in high school is no longer with us. We are without a uniform and have been for a few years now. My goal is to change that!
I have been in contact with a mascot company in Canada and they are going to be able to recreate and modify a new mascot using pictures of the old one! If you have ever shopped for a mascot, I'm sure you noticed how pricey they can be. The mascot we are looking into buying is going to cost $3300. This includes all of the old features of the uniform (all machine washable) and an adjustable fan and helmet in the head, (Wish I could have had that luxury) and will come with a carrying case. I have to have half of the money for the deposit before they will start working on it.
This is where you come in. I am reaching out to the community that loves and takes more pride in our school than anyone I know. I would love for Baldwyn High School Alumni to donate what you can to help us purchase the new mascot uniform. Not only will this represent our school spirit but it will be a beacon to shine in the community that we are truly all bearcats at heart.
Thanks in advance for anything you can give!
GO BEARCATS!!!
