1:1 Mentor Experience

Hello there, y'all. When I was a little girl, I used to stand on the platform in an empty church while my parents cleaned and sing along to cassette tapes at the top of my lungs. When I was older, I would walk to the church and do the same, sometimes fumbling along on the piano. I loved to sing. God saw me in those moments -- full of potential and promise! He was growing something in me, even then. He knew He would call me to lead worship.
Now as a worship leader, I have the opportunity to stand in front of lots of people and point them to Jesus. That's a big deal to me. Huge. See, I believe when people encounter the truth and hope of Jesus, it changes everything. So, I want to lead well. That means stretching outside my comfort zone and finding ways to grow. And so, here I am.
I have an incredible (and dreamy) opportunity to participate in a worship leader training/mentoring program. Y’all. My one-to-one mentor would be Christy Nockels. Imagine having the chance to sit across the table from one of the top leaders in your field. Wouldn't that be amazing? But, there's more. I’d also be learning from other established, experienced (and incredible) worship leaders like Kim Walker-Smith and Kari Jobe in live, video-conference small group sessions. There’s an opportunity to get constructive feedback from these leaders as they watch videos of me leading. There’s roundtable discussion with other participants and the leaders. Only ten women are accepted. It lasts 6-months, with the opportunity to extend to a full year’s worth of mentoring/training! And, it's not just about me. My growth as a leader trickles down to those I lead and serve.
The program cost $3000. It's outside my reach financially, but I have to try. It's hard for me to ask for help, but that's also part of the process. So, would you prayerfully consider helping me make it happen?
I am beyond grateful for the opportunity. I am beyond grateful for those of you who have already poured into my life with encouraging words and prayer. So, thank you. I wouldn't be where I am without people along the way confirming what God was doing and saying by speaking life over me.
This is the next thing. Let's see what God can do!
You can read a bit more about me and see bits of my story on my website .
You can also give by buying one (or two) of these super-cool t-shirts.
Thanks again! Love y'all!
