Ellie May's Road to Recovery Fund

Donation protected
My 12 year old grand daughter, Ellie May, was involved in a car accident while visiting family in upper Michigan.  She received multiple injuries to her face and head, with the  most serious injury being an open fracture to her femur.  She was flown to the Milwaukee Childrens hospital, where she underwent major surgery.  They put a titanium rod in her leg, a couple hundred stitches to her face and staples in her head.

She is expected to make a full recovery but it is going to be a long road. She will need additional surgeries and follow ups so there will be many trips back and forth between Milwaukee and Crystal Falls.

Because of the seriousnous of the injuries, the doctors did not deem it safe to travel back to her home in Montana, and she will be staying in Michigan  for an undetermined amount of time.  Her dad, Jeremy, will be caring for her here in Michigan until she has healed enough to make the trip back home.  He is a wildland firefighter and this is the season he would be out fighting forest fires, which is his main income for the year.

The money we raise will be used to help pay his on going bills & living expenses while here.  It will also help cover travel back and forth to Milwaukee (520 miles round trip), and to get them home when Ellie is able to travel.

Ellie is a fighter and has been since she was born 3 months early weighing 2 lbs. 2 oz. She overcame many obsticles then and we know she will overcome this.

Any assistance and/or prayers would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you from all of us.
