Transgender Name Change

Hello! My name is Alan, or at least it should be. I was born September 2nd, 1999 as a baby girl. However, I'm not a girl. I am transgender. my birthname is still my legal name, and today, my 17th birthday, I learned I can now legally change my name on my own. This will technically be the first real step in my transition. Having my name changed means when I get my high school diploma, it will have the name on it that actually is my name. I've been identifying as transgender for about two years now, and it's time to finally make some progress. The only problem is that this procedure costs close to $400-$600. That's why I decided to start this campaign. Getting my name changed is something I've wanted for a long time now. I'm excited to have enough money to feel comfortable with what's on my license and birth certificate. Anything at all helps, and thank you SO MUCH for reading.
