Justice for Justin Uy #Prayforuy

Hello everyone,

We, the Uy family, are overwhelmed with the love and support that we have received from family, friends, and the entire community. Many of our immediate family members have been swamped with requests from people outside of Carson for us to setup a gofundme page, so we are honoring that request in hopes we may receive some financial assistance.  The funds collected will be sent/used directly to cover the colossal medical bills from his surgeries and his around-the-clock medical care as doctors and nurses work to keep him alive.

Justin was shot multiple times by an unknown person or persons, Tuesday night April 12, 2016. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Since then he has not done well, and we fear for his future.

Justin is a stellar student in the Academies of Education and Empowerment at Carson High Complex, a highly regarded libero on the varsity volleyball team (considered one of the top players in the City), well-loved among his peers, and has always been very involved with school and the community. Justin celebrated his 18th birthday with his family and volleyball brothers just four days before the incident. He was set to graduate from high school this summer, and was planning to attend college in the fall. The money raised through this account will be used to soften the blow of the medical fees that have amounted.  We appreciate even the smallest of donations to help in Justin’s fight.  We know that money cannot fix the situation, but it would help us through this difficult time.
