Cam's Dreams

Donation protected
This is my family. My youngest is 3 and Cam the oldest is 12, soon to be 13 and he has a special gift inside. He began preaching the word of God to me in the back seat of the car at the tender age of one and a half. He has a forgiving spirit and is full of love and joy. For all of his elementary life he was in public school but somewhat struggled with not being able to be himself and mention God or share the knowledge he has. For 6th grade I moved him to private school, a Christian private school and he excelled like I've never seen. He became a scholar athlete and decided to make that his long term goal. He grew spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and academically that year. He said he never had a bad day. However 7th grade, my finances took a turn for the worse due to health issues at the time and as I am a single mother of 2, I had to pull him out of school in the middle of the school year in the middle of basketball season and put him back into the public school system. Many tears were shed. Within the one semester he was there, grades dropped, and was turned away by peers the moment he took his Bible out. Many nights he asked and prayed about going back to private school. He said he understood if he had to stay there, he gave me a list of goals for the 8th grade and said he would be okay. A mother always knows what's best for her child. I could see the look in his eyes. I couldn't rest, found another Christian private school that both him and his brother can attend, something they have always wanted. I told him about it and he was so excited by just learning about the school and asked if he could attend. He is a different child. He helps without me asking, he does all his work without my guidance, he loves unconditionally and forgives like no one else. He is the most amazing big brother you could imagine. Cam has so many goals, dreams, ambitions and I want to give him what I didn't have.....A refreshing start in life, building his confidence, teaching him to love who he is in Christ, and giving him the best possible education. The same desire a mother has to get her child to the Olympics is the same desire I have for my children's  education. He has been enrolled now for 2 weeks and the results are absolutely amazing! He is in his element. In order to keep him in school, we need $2500.  Private school is a luxury I know. Yet being a single mom since I was 16 years old, looking at my life, my choices, my struggles, my journey, my failures, at this point in my life I want to give both my boys so much more. In order to make ends meet I work 2 jobs, 7 days a week maxing out over 70 hours a week. This helps pay the bills and both of their tuitions. We live in a small apartment and its paycheck to paycheck. Many question why I do what I do. Why don't I save and buy a house, save for college, do something else with the money, education is free. Both of my boys are the apple of my eye. Material things will fade, a tornado may destroy our home, but nothing can take away their faith, their knowledge, their confidence if I invest the way I'm called to do. 16 and pregnant, I said I never wanted to be a statistic. I haven't completed my own college education yet, I don't have much.....but I do have the capability to invest in my children and change their mindsets to see so much more than I did. I have the ability to love them and set them up for success in their way that makes them thrive, to change a family pattern to go in another direction. It starts with us parents. So I'm working my hardest in every way to keep him and his brother in school. I'm opening up to ask for your support, just as if Cam was raising money for his basketball or football team, I'm asking for a small donation to support his educational and career goals. We only need $2500 and any small amount helps. Any amount we will be more than grateful for.  Please support this cause.
