Kellie Blevins Cooke Medical Fund
As many of you know, Kellie has been through the ringer these past few years. We all thought (and hoped) that once her and the family got through the trial and Tara was locked away (see Tara Lambert vs. State of Ohio if you need to catch up), that she would be able to get back to some normalcy and get on with her life. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case.
Several months ago Kellie began to have some stomach issues. Being the mother of four children, she put aside her own illness and tried to ignore it. Once the pain and discomfort became too much to ignore, she went to see her primary care physician. He refered her to a specialist who put her through a battery of tests. The tests came back and we have all been saddened to learn she has been diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. After surgery to remove a portion of her intestines as well as some lymph nodes. she now faces six months of Chemotherapy.
We are so fortunate to have her in our lives and thank God this cancer is so treatable with a great cure rate. I know many of us wish we could do something to help lessen her burden and remove some of the stress. By donating to her fund, you'll allow her some breathing room for the MANY medical bills that are starting to roll in and allow her to focus on healing from each round of chemo instead of worrying about how she is going to pay for each round.
Thank you all for supporting her in this time of need and continuing to show her our love. Any amount helps no matter how small.
