Hello Everyone!
This campaign is for our friend and family’s son, “Nelson Martinez, Jr,” who is only 19-years old. For those of you who do not know, Lil-Nelson was involved in a horrific traffic accident on Sunday morning at 12:46 AM. Lil-Nelson was with friends at Universal Studios, when he drove a friend home in the city of Los Angeles. After dropping the friend off Lil-Nelson was on his way home when another driver drove cross the center line of the roadway and violently crashed into Lil-Nelson’s vehicle head-on. After the accident occurred, the driver who caused this accident ran from the scene without rendering aid to Lil-Nelson who was trapped in his vehicle and severely injured. (Note: LAPD later located the driver who fled the accident scene.) Lil-Nelson had to be cut out of his vehicle by the Los Angeles Fire Department with the use of the “Jaws of Live.” Words cannot explain how horrific this accident was, so please view the attachment at the bottom of this page and please take note that Lil-Nelson is the one in the black Malibu being extricated by the fire department.
Lil-Nelson was transported to a nearby hospital in extremely critical condition. Lil-Nelson suffered head trauma, brain trauma, internal trauma, and the impact critically injured one of his legs. Lil-Nelson was in a medically induced coma and fighting for his life. Lil-Nelson’s parents, Lydia & Nelson Sr., have been at his bed side since the accident occurred. Lil-Nelson has a long road ahead of him to a full recovery.
