Daniel's TBI and Medical Fund

On the morning of July 27th 2016, our sister Tracy's dear friend Daniel Mateus had a heat stroke while working outside alone and fell and hit his head several times. Severely injured, he was alone approximately 2 hours before he was found. The heat stroke and falls caused Daniel to crack is skull in multiple places which caused severe swelling and bleeding on the brain. Daniel required two surgeries to remove the bleeding as well as parts of his skull to alleviate pressure from the swelling. He spent two weeks in the Severe Brain Trauma Unit of Carolinas Medical Center fighting to stay alive. It is a true MIRACLE Daniel is alive and progressing as he is. Tracy and Daniel have a close relationship with God in which I have no doubt has played a HUGE part in his survival and ability to progress.
Daniel has been in the hospital roughly 4 weeks, in which right now he is in the onsite rehab facility trying to get to a point where he can go home. However, when going home, Daniel will require Tracy to be with him 100% of the time to watch and care for him as well as provide home therapy to continue his journey to some sort of self-independence again. Daniel has no health insurance and Tracy will not be able to maintain a job during these next 3 months to a year. This will be extremely taxing on Tracy and Daniel as some of the required prescriptions will cost an enormous amount of money. He will also need to have his skull pieces reattached at some point in the future which will require another hospital stay of who knows how long and obviously there will be costs from that as well. With Tracy not being able to work full-time during this time, there will also be struggles for the simple securities in life like food, water, and keeping the lights on.
If possible, we are asking for donations to assist in any way possible with some of the financial burdens that are soon to come for Daniel and Tracy. Any donation is much appreciated! If monetary donations are not possible, we ask that you donate your prayers to Daniel and Tracy on this life changing journey they have begun to face. Thanks all!
