The Venue, legal and planning fees.

As most of you will know, The Venue is an independantly run venue by myself, Ian Wright. Recently it was closed down by Selby District Council after a 2 year planning argument that was very unfair, unjust and probably illegal on the councils part. To make things worse, the only way they would let me re open The Venue, was if I signed a document to say I wouldn't take legal action against them. After a 5 week closure and lots of negative press, The Venue re opened but with heavy financial losses due to the loss of business and cancellation of many events. 

A new planning application has been submitted with the help of a team of experts in planning, noise and legal.  This means another large bill that I simply cannot afford.  So, I am hoping to raise funds to pay for the fees associated with the planning application so that The Venue can go from strength to strength and be a vital asset within Selby town.

In return for any donations made, I will organise a thank you event free of charge once we hit our target and of course you will all be my guests of honour.  Thank you all for any help no matter how small, it means the world to me.
