Help 2 Year Old German Shepherd
Donation protected
Our 2 year old German Shepherd, Aras, was sick and had no balance in his back legs. On Monday, October 9, we brought him to the hospital. The neurologist recommended an MRI on his brain. They put him on anesthesia and did the MRI. We received a phone call saying that it appears he has an infection in his brain and could be from a tick. Three minutes later we received a phone call saying "Aras' heart stopped and he was gone for about 2 minutes. They revived him, but now there are some complications due to the lack of oxygen to the brain for 2 minutes.” This was the most devastating news. It was supposed to be a simple MRI, but it turned to the worst very quickly for our poor 2 year old Shepherd. His survival rate is very low, but we have him in the intensive care unit. He has 5% improvements each day so far. Each day costs $1,000. The fact that he is two years old and he can still have a lot of life ahead of him is what's making this decision so hard. Aras is part of our family. Only dog lovers and owners can understand this beautiful bond between dog and humans. They are family. We cannot give up on him, and he is not giving up. We are hoping and praying he will be okay but we need all the help we can get. Every dollar counts. He has been fighting and we can't give up on him now.
