Spay & Neuter: No puppies, kittens
You have heard or read somewhere: "Spay and Neuter save lives". What does it mean to you anyway?
No shelter can refuse an animal. The reality is the vast majority of pets don't make it out alive, when they enter the shelters. There are NOT enough adoptions for them. These pets are killed to make rooms for new pets coming in to the shelters. The shelters are not to blamed.
Please google the following phrase: "A Dose of Reality: What Happens to Dogs in Shelters" and read a letter from a Shelter Manager.
Basic Needs Foundation has saved thousands of pets (Offspring and their offspring) by offering free spay/neuter to low income and homeless pet owners in the rural towns in California.
The Michelson Found Animals Foundation, Inc. is giving the Basic Needs Foundation $5,000 grant toward the spay/neuter effort, when our sponsors donate a total match of $5,000 by no later than December 31st, 2016.
Please Donate, and foward our plea to others x 5. Thank you.
