Fentanyl Awareness Program
Donation protected
Fentanyl is an extremely dangerous and often-fatal narcotic that is laced in commonly used street drugs. This problem is increasing rapidly, specifically in western Canada. This past week two young people in my life died from this problem.
Although street drugs aren’t safe, fentanyl is being used as a tool to make them cheaper for the dealer and deadly to the user. This problem affects many different kinds of people from various walks of life. Stat reports show that this problem is only perpetuating and now affecting different large North American cities.
We need to work together on making this problem clear to everyone and ensuring it decreases, as nobody deserves to experience this.
With my team of journalists and fellow grad students we will work together on getting as many bars in Vancouver fentanyl testers. Additionally we will promote this concept at house parties and weddings. This is out of respect to the harm reduction model. (http://harmreduction.org/about-us/principles-of-harm-reduction/)
Additionally, we want to help support anybody going through addiction with professional and effective counseling services. (https://therapists.psychologytoday.com/rms/prof_results.php?city=Vancouver&state=BC&spec=4)
Let's work together on making this world a safer place for everyone.
We appreciate your donations and will inform you towards our development.
