What Is Soul Kindle Sanctuary ?
An animal sanctuary, environmentally conscious healing space.
We offer rescue & retirement for furry & feathered ones.
We are striving for like-minded community so we can fully realise our vision.
We working toward offering retreat where people with a life-threatening illness can come bringing their fur family with them.
We love the Ahimsa & Permaculture principles.
OUR Immediate NEED:
We are putting down roots on a beautifully tranquil (most of the time**) parcel of land near Nagambie, Victoria. The animals have settled in well here, the wildlife is returning and the bush is growing back.
We are offering rescue & release for those that come our way.
We are renovating & offering accommodation for helpers who like to come & help with all the things we have to do here.
We are running the 'Soul Kindle' / 'Eco HEMP Shop' in Nagambie township (when we can) to support our endeavours.
And we are still striving toward our ultimate vision of community, large acreage with water and a few hundred acres of bush for soft release and to save for our wildlife.
Who will benefit:
· ANIMALS in need of rehoming, rehabilitation or retiring
· People LIVING their final days
· People who’d like to LEARN and experience simple living
· Animals who need a temporary retreat, whilst their humans are struggling or in care situations or unable to look after them.
· People wanting animal, garden and camping experiences
· People needing a HEALING retreat
The Founder:
Where did this inspiration come from?
Well to know this you would have to get to know Jenny Hanson.
Fortunately I do very well..... So let me tell you a little about Jenny....Animals, animals, animals and more animals! At one stage back in 2010 we had 27 animals living at our house.....ok we had a few chooks. Jenny is happiest when she is doing something for someone or an animal in need. I have countless stories I could share but one that springs to mind for me is about Jenny and her indefatigable energy and will to help others, especially if there are animals involved. We were living in Yallingup and a friend of ours lost one of her newly acquired rescue dogs. A little silky Terrier called Pete/Mork.
This dog was lost in the wild woods for months, living off the land and food scraps. Mork was stressed and scared of humans so getting him back was no easy task. Jenny set traps, tracked and came very close to finding him a number of times, the months went by, most gave up, but she never gave up and created a Facebook network that went locally viral and the media got involved. Finally, 14 months later, she received a call from a woman at a resort who had seen Mork at her place. Jenny managed to coax & capture him and deliver him to his amazed owner.
This is what Jenny is like. No one else I know or have ever known has this passion for creatures in need.

~ Build, Upgrade & refurbish pens & homes for furry & feathered ones.

~Renovate existing house & renovate other buildings.

~Establish Permaculture Gardens, pathways, etc.

~ Sell or expand Soul Kindle Sanctuary property.

~ Move to our forever home .... vision 300 acres with green rolling pasture & a river.
