I need help for my daughter jackie Blennis. she is 48 years old and needs a double lung transplant. she is a mom of 2 boys. her oldest son is in the navy and has been for 7 years, he is 25. Her youngest is 20 and has stayed around to help her.
No amount is to small and is definitely appreciated
on October 6 my daughter called me to tell me she is considering hospice or palliative care. she just wants to die with dignity.
She can't breathe even with oxygen on. She said she felt like she is drowning when she can't get air. she does not want to continue life this way.
She has been to the dr and has been told that she is a good candidate for a transplant. she will be put on the transplant list in january.
She has to first complete 8 to 12 weeks of pulmonary rehab therapy. which is an expense and with your help she has recieved enough funds for 7 weeks (thank you)
She also has to have a psychologist evaluate her.
She will not put a financial burden on her family. she has decided that she will ONLY have the transplant done if she has finacial help. again she will not leave a financial burden on her family
Her family has explained that she is worth any amount of money and that it is not a burden. but she does not agree..
My daughter is the most generous person and not because she is my daughter. She will and has given to so many and has NEVER EXPECTED anything in return and normally will not accept anything. until now she understands that she and her family need help if she wants to continue and see her children have children. this is one thing she can not do on her own
In 1989 she worked for mental health people and was punched so hard that she injured her neck and back. She has had over 25 surgeries because the pain pump kept moving. She is full of scar tissue and also fears another surgery.
I lost my first daughter in 9/11 for liver failure the day the NY towers went down. We did not have the money for a liver transplant, and did not know about gofundme to ask for help.
I don't want to lose another daughter.
She does have some insurance and know it will not pay alot of the expenses, including the antirejection that she will need for the rest of her life
My hope is that this goes viral and she can be shown that she is worth it
I am sure the cost will excede the 30,000 but it is a start.
I would be so greatful for any help you can give.
