Blessing Our Homeless Vets- 2017

Blessings and BBQ is a group of Christian men,women and children who gather on the first Saturday of each month to cook, serve and join the 200+ homeless residents of the ABCCM Veteran's Restoration Quarters (VRQ) in Asheville NC for a special BBQ dinner. We also have a special team to serve the homeless women and children at the Steadfast House the same day. All in all we often serve almost 300 dinners and have been blessed to do so monthly for over 15 years. The cost each month for the meal averages $300 to $350 and the VRQ typically provides many items for the side dishes.Team members serving in this unique ministry attend various churches and we welcome anyone with a desire to serve to come join us on the first Saturday of each month. Since we are a team from various churches we have not relied on any church for financial support. For the 12 months of 2017 we need approximately $4500 to continue to bless and serve our homeless veterans who have sacrificed and served our country.
