Help Lynn Rebuild Her Life

Donation protected
Could you help put the smile back on my grandmother's face? Three years ago she lost my grandad and the love of her life to a late diagnosed brain tumour; since then her life has been turned upside down and as a distraction from her grieving she has ploughed herself into work, working ridiculously long hours seven days a week. However the monster known as depression had finally crept upon her and sent her into a downward spiral and led her to quit work and take long term sick, in turn leading her to feel worthless and not needed in this world any longer. After the fourth and failed attempt of taking her own life, Lynn's depressive state soon led her to be admitted into the mental health unit at our local hospital where she has resided for the past nine weeks. During the first couple of weeks of being in hospital Lynn's car had been broken into, so as a consequence we contacted the local council to secure her home whilst she spent long term in hospital, as the only local family she has are a twenty minute drive away from where she lives. However this still didn't stop vandals. Someone has broken into the home by removing the upstairs bathroom window, rummaging throughout the house looking for a spare set of keys to be able to let themselves in and out as they please as the council had failed to secure the property to the correct standard that we were expecting. The thieves stole thousands of pounds worth of goods including two TV's, a Blu-ray DVD player, a computer and monitor, several Blu-ray's and other DVD's and also bedroom furniture including a pine double bed and mattress, a pine three-door wardrobe, two pine chests of drawers and also two pine bedside cabinets. Also stolen was a tumble dryer and other living room furniture, and we suspect that the sofas would be the next to be taken if we hadn't have gone to the house when we did and found it in its current state. This has not only left my grandmother devastated but has left the whole family feeling violated as that was the family home, and has been in our family for almost sixty years. She has worked hard all her life to have these items in her possession, only to have someone take them away so easily. Lynn is looking to be rehoused in a property closer to the rest of her family but in turn has lost everything she would need to refurnish her new property. Any help given will be highly appreciated by our entire family, and we hope that Lynn can live out the rest of her years comfortably after everything she has had to experience in recent years.
