Support the Whaley Family

Donation protected
Friends,

As many of you may know, the Whaley family was displaced from their home last night, due to a fire.  Please see Amber's post below for more details.  As they are my dearest friends, I wanted to provide support for them in whatever way I possibly could.  I know that they are in a very difficult place right now and I am sure that the best way that we can help support them is financially.  They are unsure of what will be salvagable from their home and what needs they will have in the near future.  Please help me to support this precious family.

Amber's Post:

Please, please pray for our family this morning and in the days to come. A unit in our apartment building caught fire last night shortly after 10:00. Thankfully, the fire was contained by firemen to the unit of origin, but our home has suffered extensive smoke damage. We were able to re-enter our unit almost 4 hours later to retrieve belongings we will need to get through the next few days, as we will likely not be able to enter the apartment again for the next several days. It was devastating to walk through and see everything we own covered in dark black soot, not knowing what's salvageable and what's not. Honestly, that was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. However, I am so thankful to God that my family and everyone else in the building made it out alive. And it has to be said that we are blessed beyond measure with amazing friends who went above and beyond for us last night/early this morning, from putting us up into a hotel, to helping us gather our belongings from our home, volunteering to take our laundry to wash for us, etc. I don't know that I would have made it through the night with my sanity intact had it not been for all of them. I love them dearly and will forever be grateful for the love and support they gave to my family. I would also like to thank my mother for coming to get Seth and Quinn, and for taking care of them last night while we dealt with everything. Naturally, they were terrified and extremely upset about the situation. Please say an extra prayer for them. I can't imagine how they must have felt being woken up and literally yanked out of their beds, having to crawl under clouds of black smoke with their lungs burning. It had to have been like something out of a nightmare. I'm not really sure what lies ahead in the days to come, but I know that God will get us through it. Thank you for your prayers.
