Some of you may remember the response to a similar sized (negative) ad placed in the New York Times by MoveOn Org. during the Bush Administration.
Every newspaper in the country reported on it, often reprinting the entire ad. For weeks, it was the central subject of discussion on radio and TV programs. It was incredibly effective at reshaping the narrative for months to come.
In short, the media can't ignore what is made part of the media. It can't distort or exaggerate what is written in black and white. And unlike pro-Trump rallies and marches, an ad denies the violent Left the opportunity to intimidate and destroy--thus denying it the opportunity to capture more media coverage. Consider how the media handles pro-Trump marches. In the end what is shown is 10 seconds of the march and 3 minutes of interviews with those protesting the march. Consider the recent townhall gatherings where the media gleefully shows (paid) protesters drowning out the Republican politican and sometimes chasing him or her off the stage. A full page ad, which can't be buried, will deny them all that and more.
Yes, there will be attempts at pushback from the media, but every point of pushback will once again spotlight the ad. That's the beauty of it.
Let's show the Left that their efforts to cast a pall over Trump's presidency serve only to strengthen our support, just as their violence becomes a means by which we will grow in numbers and resolve.
Let's give Trump political capital by demonstrating that the effects of the Left's actions are the opposite of what they claim.
Our ad will focus on the following three points:
1. To give President Trump the recognition he so richly deserves for achieving the heretofore impossible. He earned the presidency without becoming moored to special interest groups or wealthy donors. The ad will also list his accomplishments thus far, and acknowledge his efforts to keep all his campaign promises. A rarity in today's Washington DC.
2. To offer the Republican Congress a choice between the carrot or the stick. We no longer have the time or the patience to cajole those timid creatures into action. The overarching message will be 'carpe diem!'.
Seize the day!!.
3. To call out the Democrats and their media allies on their endless efforts to undermine a sitting president and destroy the faith of the American people in the election process itself. Vladamir Putin, in his wildest KGB dreams, could never have imagined doing one-tenth the amount of damage to our system of government as have those on the Left in the past five months. They will also be called out on the violence and destruction that have become their political calling cards.
We will publish the ad as soon as funding makes it possible. However, we're really hoping we can do so on Trump's 120th day in office. A symbolic date which also means the ad should hit at the height of the Democrat's investigatory Russian collusion frenzy. Imagine the surprise, considering the primary purpose of their demands for hearings is to wear down Trump's support.
Btw, for those who may be wondering if a newspaper like the Washington Post, for example, would publish a pro-Trump ad, let us assure you that we've done our research, and as long as we stick to the paper's guidelines for ads, it will. After all, newspapers are in the business of making money, and they would have a hard time explaining why they turned it down, and yet continue to call themselves newspapers.
Let's show President Trump that we stand not only behind him but beside him too. We will help him brave the storm and join him in the trenches. One man can't save our country from the globalists, but working together WE can.
Don't be intimidated by the cost of this effort. The goal can be easily reached by the efforts of less than 1% of Trump's voters contributing $10 per person. Help spread the word. Let's shock the Left and further destroy their morale by doing something Republicans have never done before.
