3 of our very own are billed to represent NIGERIA in the African Senior Taekwondo Championship to be held in Morocco from the 28th of March to the 1st of April 2018.
For the last 5 years Ahmed Adetola Kazeem has trained these young boys aged 22, 20 and 19. He has also invested in a dream he believed greatly in. He had dreamt of a day when these boys will represent our country and make us all proud in an international competition. It was a dream he sold to them and one they ran with. In their various categories, they are already undisputed National Champions and their goal was not only to participate in this competition but ultimately represent NIGERIA at the Rio Olympics in 2020.
They have prepared and are poised to travel down to Morocco when they got word that the government isn’t willing to sponsor the athletes and athletes who chose to compete will have to sponsor themselves. They were torn by this news but they do not intend to let their heads drop.
With your support they are positive they will make it down to Morocco and make our country proud.
The entire trip will cost a whooping 2.4 Million Naira, an equivalent of $6,656 but with your support we can make this happen.
Below is the breakdown of the cost for the team including their coach:
1. Return Flight ticket on Egyptian Airline for 26th March is N425,000 × 4 = N1,700,000
2. Hotel accommodation for 4 is N748,916.25
