UPDATE: Just to clarify for those who question my good intentions at the time I created this account. This page was set up on 02/15/18, the morning after learning that my brother was tragically killed. We were told that Crime Victims Bureau would partially cover the funeral costs and my family would have to come up with the difference. Later on, we were informed that Broward Education Foundation would cover what the state will not. Your donations will help us cover additional expenses my family will face as a result of this tragedy, such as bringing both of my grandmothers from Mexico for the funeral (the women who raised us while our parents were living in FL before saving enough money to bring us over too), housing our extended family during the funeral, and many other things.
Martin Duque passed away on 02/14/18 at the Stoneman Douglas High School mass shooting. He was a very funny kid, outgoing but sometimes really quiet. He was sweet and caring and loved by everyone in his family. Most of all, he was my baby brother. My family and I have no words to describe the what we feel and the tragedy that we are living. All my prayers to the ones we lost and everyone who lived this horror and is traumatized. My family and I appreciate any help you can give. R.I.P Martin Duque
