Help Us Help Andrew Fight LCH
Donation protected
Hi! I'm Andrew's Mom, Lorraine.
At this time, we are reaching out for help for our 19 mo old son, who was just diagnosed with Langerhan's Cell Histiocytosis (LCH).
LCH is a rare condition that can strike between the ages of 1-3 as well as older children and adults. Where LCH appears on the body and the age of it's onset determines the diagnosis.
Unfortunately, our sweet baby ended up with a lesion on the orbital bone and in the skull. His LCH is considered malignant and is being fought with chemotherapy. We are scared of the situation and process but pray that the treatments will heal him as the good news is that while LCH can cause other health problems, it is treatable. More good news is that while it may never be known where this came from, it's not hereditary nor is it contagious, as we were frightened for his twin brother. While we'll continue to keep an eye on both of them, at least we can put those particular fears aside.
However, we are becoming overwhelmed with the medical bills for the testing and care that is needed to help him recover and it's only the beginning. To help matters, we are re-structuring our budget and liquidating the few assets we have and are asking for your help.
While we are facing a terrible crisis, please know that your help means so much to us and I am so grateful for this site to give us the opporunity to share our story with you.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we will share our progress with all who support us in our journey.
