Mike Trapp's Olympic Run

Mike Trapp is a US Team professional snowboarder making a run for the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, and he will need your help to get there!
The Olympic season is a very costly one for athletes. Unfortunately, US athletic federations and the Olympic Committee only help to fund a small fraction of the costs, leaving the athlete to come up with the rest. Mike has over $30,000 in travel and lodging expenses, equipment costs, and coaching fees during the course of an average season, and an Olympic season is expected to exceed that.
Mike will need to compete in 5 Olympic qualifying events this December and January to qualify for the games in February. These events are taking place in Italy, Austria, and Slovenia; however, his season and on-snow training begin early this fall to ensure that he is well prepared to compete.
For those of you that don’t know Mike, he has been a competitive snowboarder for most of his life. After years of hard work he has made his way up the ranks and just completed his 7th season competing on the World Cup team. He finished last season ranked #1 in the US, 18th in Parallel Giant Slalom on the World Cup tour, and 23rd in the world standings.
When he is not in season, Mike is living with his wife, Kelly, on Cape Cod, Massachusetts where he also works as a Mercedes Benz technician. Following the 2018 Olympic games, Mike plans to return home to start the next chapter in his life.
Never Surrender!
