Wife with MS needs van for pwrchair
Donation protected
My wife Clare was diagnosed with M.S. Multiple Sclerosis / with seizures when she was 27. She has been a trooper and strong fighter ! Clare has always said, "We will talk a walker at a hundred and a wheel chair at a hundred and fifty."I believe that strong willpower and God have kept her going healthy for this long. She is now 44 years old and due to a recent relapse in her MS we are having to make those plans sooner than she hoped. In 2008 her seizures became more often accompanied with a lot of pain. We soon learned that a lesion of MS plaque had grown near her brain stem and is pressing against her tri-geminal nerve causing tri-geminal neuralgia pain. While the car we have is good on gas, with every appointment I am finding it harder and harder to get her in and out of the car. We have a 10 year old son and with her often seizures, tri-geminal surgeries and numerous appointments, we have downsized, made many sacrafices and stuggled a great bit for it to be possible for us to survive and raise our son. I simply cannot afford to buy a lift equipped van. We are in need of a lift equipped van or a van that can be equipped with a lift while at the same time it needs to be a minivan so it is good on gas mileage. We are willing to settle for a used van.Any and all help making this possible would be greatly appreciated. If we are able to purchase a van I would be willing to donate our car to a family in need. It is ugly but I have rebuilt the engine and transmission over the years so it runs and drives great and would serve a family in need for many years to come. Attached is a photo of us in her better days and some of her recent surgeries. Thank you !
