Megan-Rose's Headstone Fund

Donation protected
In December 2012 a little girl named Megan was born. At 5 days old she collapsed in her mummys arms and their lives were changed forever. Megan was born with congenital heart disease and this had gone unnoticed until the worst imaginable had happened. Megan suffered 6 cardiac arrests and a stroke. From that day forward her life changed. She spent the majority of her time in and out of intensive care, undergoing numerous life changing heart and lung surgeries. Sadly in 2013 at the age of 9 months old, Megan lost her battle with CHD and her parents had to make the heartbreaking decision to switch off their baby girls life support machine. Megan passed away peacefully in her mummys arms 1st October 2013.

After the loss of Megan everyone was fantastic to her parents helping them organise Megans send off whilst they were still in a great deal of shock. Sadly they didn't have enough funds to get Megan a headstone for her forever garden. With some lovely help from charities they have managed to pay for part of the headstone however it cannot be fitted until the remainder of the headstone is paid for and the fixing fees are completed.

Since Loosing Megan, they have sadly endured more loss with the loss of Jemima's Grandad and then a further pregnancy in which saw Jemima admitted for emergency ectopic surgery. Financially it has been a struggle.

In July 2014 Jemima found she was pregnant again and her fears rose. She spent much of her time travelling to and from Southampton getting extra scans to ensure her baby was fine. However, when little Nathan was born in April 2015 he too ended up on Life support and they were sent to Southampton Hospital. The very hospital they were in when turning their daughters life support off. This has naturally played heavy on the parents of Megan and finances dropped when Phil sadly lost his job due to time off caring for their new son.

This has now left them having to put on hold getting Megan the headstone they so wish for her. I have set up this page as I would really like to help them achieve the full target amount so they can pay off Megans headstone and not have this hanging over them. In order for this to happen I would like to ask for your help in raising the remainder of £2000 for the headstone. This includes the fixing fees too. Headstones are not cheap and I know they have tried their best to make what little payments they can to try and get this one last gift for their princess. Can you help me to help them reach this target?

Please note that gofundme do take 5% and payment processing company Stripe take 1.9% of each donation made and so the amount donated wont be the amount received. I thankyou so much for reading and I hope we can all get together to help Jemima and Phil in getting the headstone for Megan-Rose. xxx
