3MPH Film - Fuel & Support
Donation protected
The idea of filming a documentary on the Continental Divide Trail was born out of the desire to educate and inspire outdoor enthusiasts to broaden their comfort zones. 3MPH is aiming to capture the peaks and valleys of thru-hiking while paying homage to our public lands.
But along with the incredible vistas, the CDT presents some of the greatest challenges we've ever faced. Not only because of the relentless landscape and elements but because we are simultaneously trying to make an epic documentary. It’s not as simple as having the right gear and proper resupply boxes. We are trying to get a whole crew of people to trek from Canada to Mexico which is not an easy feat.
A lot of wonderful things are going to be happening for the film but right now we’re having to slow down our creative progress due to our current lack of funding. Our second unit is made up some extremely talented cinematographers, directors, and time lapse guys. Not to mention, two expert hikers and outdoorsmen who’s roles are crucial to keeping our film crew safe on the trail. Our second unit has been following the hikers off trail via car and the infamous “Yeti” camper vehicle. We’re currently asking for support to help fuel not only our vehicles but our crew members as well.
Without immediate financial backing, our second unit won’t be able to follow the hikers and capture the magic of the Continental Divide Trail. Without capturing the magic, we wont be able to complete 3MPH and share our important story with you.
We hope you take the time to watch some raw footage from our first week on the Continental Divide Trail. We hope that is inspires you as it has us and you can not only see but feel how important it is for us to continue capturing magic for our film. For those of you who choose to help support our project, on completion of the film we will have your name in the credits under “Trail Angels”.
Thank you to all of our friends, family and fans for the love and support we have already received! Without you, we wouldn’t have made it this far.
Peace, Love and Happy Trails!
