Eric Anangfac Anagfac, a father of four, former Geography and History teacher for over 15 years at Seat of Wisdom College Fontem in Cameroon, West-Africa, migrated to the United States of America in October 2002, in search for a better life, Eric settled in Dallas, Texas and worked at Equity Residential Properties until that unfortunate day in 2006 when tragedy hit, Eric was diagnosed with pneumonia, Asthma, Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension which requires that Eric gets a lung transplant and has been on oxygen at home since 2010, paid for out-of-pocket prior to 2014 and a portable oxygen concentrator since December 2014 which enables him perform some activities of daily living.
After speaking with the transplant financial coordinator at the University of Texas Medical Center Solid Organ Transplant Clinic, it was made known to him that the cost for his transplant is around $350.000 to $500.000 for single and double lungs transplant. Eric currently has Medicare which covers eighty percent on organ transplantation, the allowable amount for outpatient services and physician’s fees, the outstanding twenty percent balance is out-of-pocket. Eric is working on getting supplemental health insurance which is still a work in progress and that is where you come in, Eric needs your help. .
Eric’s goal is left on the hope that he finds a donor and can get his lung transplant and the hope for a renewed happiness after this life-changing event. The cost of organ transplant is tremendous; Eric has taken on this financial responsibility without asking for help so far. We don't believe that Eric must go through this alone. No one should ever face life's challenges alone
