Victoria fled the UK to protect her daughter Mary from  abuse. Forced back under international law, she is now fighting in court for her daughter's safety and the right to return home.  Please support our campaign and share widely to help keep Mary safe from her abuser.


Hi Everyone,

My friend and her little girl are in the middle of a terrifying legal battle overseas.  Victoria has been legally forced to travel to the UK with her daughter by the father who is now demanding access to Mary. They are both terrified of seeing him.  Both are Australian citizens, yet despite a history of domestic abuse and repeated disclosures of sexual abuse by Mary against her father, the Australian government has done nothing to protect them.

Now in the UK, without family or support, Victoria is fighting in court to protect her daughter from from being put back into the hands of her abuser. 

Victoria has had no legal aid during this process. That a mother should be forced to represent herself in such an extreme situation is unthinkable. I set up this crowdfund to ensure they have a legal representation in court. Generous donations have been just enough to keep a lawyer by Victoria's side so far.  But only just.

To you give an idea of the expenses involved:

£25 ($42AUD) = 1/2 legal advice by phone
£60 ($101AUD) = 1 hour play therapy for Mary
£190 ($319AUD) = 1 hour with a solicitor
£1100 ($1850AUD) = 1-2hrs court representation

There are still several court dates to come, three scheduled for this month (October 2017).
