Janie Marie #13 End Domestic Abuse

On May 27, 2017, Bartlesville lost our beautiful, sweet, funny Janie Marie, to murder, the worst part of domestic violence. Her sons, Jesse and Chance lost their mama. Her grandson, Wyatt lost his Grandma way too soon. Her new stepdaughter lost her stepmom and dad. Her parents, brother, sister, and many close friends and coworkers lost a beautiful soul. She could brighten any bad day, and make anybody laugh, and then laugh at her laugh. She's been my closest friend and coworker for a long time. My world is shattered right now, as it is for alot of people. My boys are very sad, as her son is a freind of theirs. If you knew Janie, you knew she didn't give up on anything. Janie was a hard worker at ConocoPhillips, spent her time taking care of Jesse, her son still at home with her, and taking care of her sweet dad. Domestic abuse is a terrible thing. I've lived through it from the inside, and now I've seen it from the outside. It's very painful to watch someone you love keep trying to change things and get verbally and physically abused. The end result can be death, and/or traumatized and hurt children. People who continuously hurt and manipulate, threaten to kill, don't just give up. If you know someone in a bad situation, please try to help them get out of it. Try to make them understand, that they have to protect their children from this. There are so many resources available. Help them get the help they need and keep themselves away from the abuse. And don't take your eyes and ears off of them until you know they're not going back for more, ever again. Please stand together against domestic violence, in memory of Janie Marie. All funds will be split between Janie's sons, to help cover expenses.
