Help a found dog get surgery she needs!

570My fiance and I saw this dog on Monday, August 12 at the end of our road. She was limping and had a severely broken leg. Looked like she was recently ran over. We took her to the animal emergency room in Denton, TX (if you need to verify the circumstances, she was under the name of Bonnie with no owner). We are not a rich couple (Jordan is a nurse for a non-profit center for adults with intellectual disabilities and Billy is a Special Ed aide and full time student) and the vet said she needs surgery costing around 1000 dollars plus meds. We would love to try to help her but we are getting married in October and moving and have zero funds left. Please help if you can!


Update 8/16: "Bonnie" has been resting comfortably at our home the past few days. The emergency vet put a large splint on her leg to help her until she can be seen by an orthopedic veterinary surgeon. We are looking for one in the Denton area that can help. She is such a sweet dog! Thank you to everyone who has helped with raising money for her. We can't just turn her over to a shelter that would likely euthanize her because she needs medical attention.
