My name is Brittany and I am starting this GoFundMe page for my husband, Greg. If you know Greg, then you will know how strong-willed and determined he is to provide for his family.

Well, last week Greg was seriously injured during his softball leagues championship game. Greg was hit by a player and broke both his Tibia and Fibula (the two main bones of the lower leg). He required emergency surgery and had a metal rod placed through his Tibia and must wait for the Fibula to heal on it's on.

As if suffering from this extremely painful break was not enough, I had to call 911 for Greg this past weekend as it turned out he was suffering from post-operative pneumonia. He was hospitalized for another three days and put on heavy antibiotics and oxygen to work on increasing his oxygen saturation.
Let's just say that when it rains, it pours! Greg was planning on starting his new job as a security officer at Pinkerton Academy the end of this month and now is in "limbo," as it could take up to 4 months for his injury to heal. Unfortunately, the insurance that he had through the league will not assist with any of the ambulance/hospital bills, and we are currently living off of one paycheck.

For those of you that know me personally, you know that I am a full-time community counselor, full-time student for my master's in social work, and full-time mother to our 2-year old daughter, Isabella. We are staying at my father's house because we simply cannot afford to live on our own at this time, especially with the significant amount of medical bills that we will soon be receiving. Turns out that the bill for the ambulance ride for his pneumonia will be $1,000 on it's own!
I am reaching out to all of you wonderful individuals who would be willing to help a hardworking family that has been put into a very difficult situation. Any little bit will help, and I am one that believes in karma...what you give will come back to you!
Please, open your hearts and help us to help Greg towards a speedy recovery, and to help our family with these extremely overwhelming medical bills. I cannot express the gratitude that our family will have with any assistance that is offered!
