4 Dogs/2 Cats Perish In House Fire
Donation protected
Imagine 6 members of your family dying at the same time. One minute they are there, and the next, gone. Six lives extinguished in an instant. This is the nightmare that Michele, Dave and Kyra Behm are living right now. They left for work on April 11th only to be called back an hour later because their house had caught on fire. They didn't rush home for the house. They only cared about their 4 dogs and 2 cats inside. Despite heroic efforts by first responders, Elsa, Coby, Chilipepper, Sydney, Tigger and Venom all passed away. The Behm's pets were more than just family ... they were their everything. A conversation with the Behms was not complete without hearing wonderful and funny stories about their crew. One can only pray that those memories somehow guide them through this dark period of loss.
While we can't bring back their 6 beloved souls, we can help in other ways. One way is contributing to this fundraiser. The Behm's immediate needs have been taken care of with clothes, food, supplies and a roof over their heads. It's unclear what, if anything, will be salvageable from their home. It's likely they will need money to supplement what they receive from their insurance claim. Please donate to help this compassionate, philanthropic, selfless family as they begin to rebuild. Every amount, small or large, counts when giving together as a community.
