4 Tops 4 Tom
Donation protected
On the 7th, 8th and 9th of June 2019 myself Peter Molly and Sara along with a group from GNS Fitness will be climbing 4 of the highest peaks in Ireland over 3 days: (Cuarantohill- Co. Kerry, Mweelrea- Co. Mayo, Slieve Donard- Co Down and Lugnaquilla, Co Wicklow) to raise funds for Our Lady's Childrens Hospital Crumlin (OLCHC).
I will be withdrawing the money from this campaign myself and transferring it straight to the group fund GNS. As a group we are hoping to raise over €20000 for OLCHC.
Most people in Ireland have heard of OLCHC as it provides life changing treatment for children and families from all over Ireland every day. This particular cause is very close to our hearts and we are delighted to have the opportunity to support OLCHC on behalf of my little nephew Tom Fitzgerald, affectionately known as Tom Bomb. Born in the National Maternity Hospital last June 2018, baby Tom made his way into the world at 26 weeks weighing just 580g (1lb 3oz). Since that day, Tom has remained in hospital. His family and friends have followed his journey- his own uphill climb, with lots of bumps along the way- and stood together on the edge with him. A year later, we will be climbing with our smiling, laughing, happy Tom Bomb in our hearts as he turns one year old.
Through the support and genuine love of the staff of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the National Maternity Hospital and Our Lady's Childrens Hospital Crumlin, and his own feisty, strong-willed determination, little Tom has continued to bomb on. As his family, we are so very proud of all that he has overcome. We are waiting for the day we bring our little hero, Tom Bomb, home.
Whilst we will never be able to individually thank everyone who has supported Tom both before and after is birth, we hope to express some gratitude by fundraising and positively supporting OLCHC as it in turn continues to support babies, children and families like ours in the future.
Being able to do this for Tom means so much to us. Thank you in advance for your kind donations and for helping us to raise money for such a great cause.
